About

Starting  ‘The Singles Scene for Northern Utah’ seemed to be a good idea. There were seemingly no group activities for the LDS single adults over 31. So if you can’t find one, then create one. Our first party only had 14 people come. Everyone enjoyed themselves so much, we agreed to do it again on a regular basis. We formed an unofficial committee to plan the parties. Our second was a surprising success, there were over 60 people having a good time. The following parties show promise of plenty of men and women to get to know. The parties are a draw for not only Northern Utah, but all over Utah and Idaho.

We focus on having a lot of opportunity to get to know new people in a comfortable environment. There is some dancing, mingling, good conversations and some games. We have these parties every month. We may rotate the location occasionally, but will mostly be in the Ogden area. The parties are pot luck where you can bring a food or drink item of your choice, but the main course is provided for you. There is no entrance fee, but there is a donation jar to help out with some of the minor costs.

So far, there have been several couples created from these parties. The main intent is not to marry everyone off, but to have fun and enjoy yourselves. For those of us that have suffered from shyness (myself included), this is a very comfortable environment and no pressure to do much of anything other than to smile.

We will also have smaller parties for games, group dinners, or movie nights. The smaller parties will be more limited in number for better conversation, but mostly because most of my games only have a certain number of players allowed J. These parties will be listed on the calendar, but will mostly be limited to a smaller set number of people, so RSPV quickly for those.

Come join us at our next party. Bring your friends and tell all the singles you know to come be a part of the party. We just ask that you be single, come with a good attitude, and have fun. “
